Our First Custom Designed Project
Our first custom designed project , this one is truly special. This is where we developed our special soft padding technique with our team of Bengal artisans and an artist who hand painted and illustrated walls, and elements all around the room ! Wall hung handcrafted baskets creates the illusion of fruit laden baskets as they hang juxtaposed against the painted fruit orchards . Different natural elements create a space for passive learning while the soft padded surfaces and rounded corners ensure a safe space for a baby to explore freely. Easy to maintain materials and the long window seating facing the family garden are beautiful design features while always adding to the experience- both for the child as for the parents too!
Project With virtual schooling changing the way children study
With virtual schooling changing the way children study, a sturdy and well designed integrated unit was the need of the hour for little Anika and her sister just like so many children around the world ! During the lockdown with all the meetings completely conducted virtually , our team handcrafted this custom designed unit exactly to fit the space and client requirements .
Optimizing ample storage and seating space for 3 , the integrated study unit has soft subtle colours which creates its subtle presence despite its large structure. With an inbuilt handcrafted channapatna stationary tray which moves on its own rail, the 2 sisters can share the stationary efficiently and it adds to the element of FUN !
Project With Little Agastya’s parents
Little Agastya’s parents wanted to create a space for him that was safe , functional , subtle and FUN!
In the little room , we designed and executed an integrated seating unit with beautifully handcrafted cane baskets . A fold away table that becomes a shutter when collapsed , a little scribbling blaackboard shutter and an open library at arms length are some of the FUN features we incorporated in this cozy space. Maximising the small space , while also optimising the functionality , we kept the material board simple, classy and very natural .
Project With Lodha Belezza Apartments
Nestled in the beautiful oasis that Lodha Belezza apartments is in the heart of Hyderabad , this little children’s tot lot is a vibrant space for safe and FUN play for its little residents . Commissioned to My FUNiture Story as a design consultancy, we assisted the client from visualization , to selection to creation. Zoning the active play areas on one end , and a cozy reading nook on another end , we left the central space for open ended activity . Simple functional storage at the entrance , a classy wallpaper with the alphabets, the safe and easy to maintain flooring are some simple elements of the space . Clear circulation and allocated spaces for varied activities allows for children of varied age groups to play harmoniously in a space that belongs to them all!
